Donar's Club T-Shirt — Thunor's Hammer Anglo-Saxon Heritage

The hammer was never just a weapon. For the Anglo-Saxons, Thunor's hammer was a mark of protection — carved into doorposts, worn around the neck, invoked against storm and chaos. The Germanic thunder god known as Donar to the continental Saxons, Thunor to the English, carried that same sacred symbol across centuries of belief before the church arrived to rename the world. This tee wears that mark plainly: a carved hammer rendered with rune-like lettering and weathered detail, printed bold on heavyweight Gildan 5000 black cotton. No noise. Just the old sign, worn by those who know what it means.

Frequently asked questions

Is this t-shirt unisex?
Yes — it's a unisex adult fit, designed to sit comfortably on all body types. It runs true to size across S–5XL.

What is Donar's Club?
Donar is the continental Germanic name for the thunder god — the same deity the Anglo-Saxons called Thunor and the Norse called Thor. Donar's Club is our range of heritage designs centred on Thunor's hammer: the sacred symbol of protection, strength, and the bond between the thunder god and the common people of early medieval England.

What does the design represent?
The design features a carved hammer — Thunor's sacred weapon and protective symbol — rendered with rune-like lettering and weathered detail. It draws on the Anglo-Saxon and Germanic tradition of wearing or displaying the hammer as a mark of protection and belonging.

Is this suitable as a gift?
Yes — a strong gift for anyone drawn to Anglo-Saxon history, early medieval heritage, Germanic mythology, or pagan and heathen traditions. Browse the full range in the Thunor Collection.

Who was Thunor?
Thunor was the Anglo-Saxon god of thunder — England's own version of Thor, worshipped centuries before the Vikings arrived. His name survives in Thursday (Thunor's Day) and in place names like Thundersley in Essex and Thunderfield in Surrey. Read the full story: The Forgotten Thunder God.

What colours are available?
The Donar's Club T-Shirt is available in Black only, in sizes S–5XL.
